What You'll Do
Perform final inspections on all outgoing products, including dimensional checks, weld quality, and galvanizing verification
Accurately measure parts using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
Verify galvanizing thickness using coating thickness gauges
Conduct in process and final audits of products and manufacturing processes at multiple stages of production
Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to confirm dimensional, welding, and quality requirements
Convert between fractions and decimals, as well as metric and imperial (U.S. standard) measurements
Audit and verify product identification and traceability throughout production
Maintain accurate inspection, audit, and training records, including scanning and organizing electronic files
Support ongoing Quality Management System (QMS) documentation updates and improvements
Manage and track gage calibration to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance
What You'll Need
Proven ability to accurately use a tape measure and work confidently with fractions of an inch
A strong understanding of linear measurements (feet/inches, decimals in both imperial and metric units)
Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and electronic file management; SAP and Salesforce experience is a plus
Solid math, analytical, and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet inspection deadlines
High level of attention to detail, especially during repetitive or detailed inspections
Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, or dry)
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required
Ability to pass a near vision eye exam (with or without corrective lenses), including reading Jaeger #2 or smaller at 12 inches (or equivalent)
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED required
