Role
Overview The Executive Director – Fund Finance (U.S.) is a senior people leader responsible for translating Moody's Fund Finance franchise strategy into execution across the U.S. portfolio. Fund Finance is a strategically important and rapidly growing part of the financial ecosystem, providing critical liquidity and financing to investment funds and their stakeholders. This role provides end-to-end oversight of ratings performance, portfolio quality, and market engagement for the U.S. team, while leading a high-performing analytical group and driving strategic, operational, and digital transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Global Head of Fund Finance, the ED will help set the strategic direction for the franchise across the U.S., strengthen analytical capabilities, expand market presence, and support the delivery of high-quality, independent credit opinions. The role combines deep credit expertise, executive leadership, and strategic delivery, and works closely with groups across Moody's Ratings — including the Private Credit franchise — to enhance coordination and support issuers as the growth of private credit drives increasing demand for fund finance solutions and accelerates the convergence of these markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Market Voice Execute the Fund Finance research and outreach strategy for the U.S., enhancing publications, digital assets, and market voice Represent the franchise internally and externally, articulating Moody's perspectives on fund finance trends and credit risk in the U.S. Serve as a subject-matter leader on fund finance themes (e.g., rated feeders and insurance capital, NAV lending, and GP-level financing structures), identifying evolving market trends and ensuring analytical consistency on complex transactions Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including fund sponsors, investors, intermediaries, media, and regulatory bodies (e.g., the SEC and other U.S. regulatory authorities), including in sensitive or high-profile situations Collaborate across regional Fund Finance teams, rating groups, and related franchises — notably Private Credit — to drive coordination, consistency, and a cohesive One Moody's approach Team Leadership & Analytical Governance Lead, develop, and manage a team of Fund Finance analytical professionals in the U.S., with accountability for hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development Chair rating committees, ensuring analytical rigor and adherence to Moody's methodologies and policies Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture and act as a role model for Moody's leadership behaviors Operational Excellence & Innovation Drive digital and AI-enabled transformation, process standardization, and automation initiatives to improve analytical quality and efficiency Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies,
