Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Supply Chain Planning Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Analyst II - Supply Chain Development. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the development, sustainment, and Kaizen of a Toyota Production System (TPS) Parts Supply Chain. Reporting to the Logistics Planning Manager , the person in this role will support the Part Supply Chain Planning department's objective to achieve lowest cost logistics by leveraging TPS and Toyota Way principles. What you’ll be doing Directly support, develop and sustain positive relationships with Customers (North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs), Service Part Centers, Cross Docks, Contract Logistics Providers and Toyota Suppliers) to create a supply chain plan that ensures smooth operational flow at the lowest cost for delivery of parts. Making decisions to impact the flow of freight and resources required to support Toyota Supply Chain, including routing, number of drivers and tractors, yard space, facility material handling, packaging return flow, and parts order timeline. Use a combination of Toyota developed and off the shelf software to execute a planning cycle to adjust to monthly (or more frequently) changes to the sales plan. Conduct complex supply chain network optimization, problem solving, and data analysis to improve freight flow and reduce cost within a $1B+ budget. Analyzing large data sets to create and implement innovative kaizen within the supply chain. Achieve daily milestones with 100% accuracy to produce a new logistics design monthly, maximizing efficiency and minimizing change within the supply chain Be flexible for monthly business travel approximately 3-4 days per month. Be flexible for daily overtime based on business and customer demand. Optimize external parts delivery supply chain network based upon Toyota Production System (TPS) principles. Foster personal growth and development to meet current and future business needs, with focus on problem solving, quality, analytical skills, and developing deep knowledge of the supply chain. What you bring Bachelor’s degree in an Analytical field (Engineering, Supply Chain Management, IS, Statistics, Mathematics) or minimum of 4 years of work experience in supply chain or logistics planning. 2+ years’ experience in a supply chain related field 1+ years of Project Management experience including schedule creation, coordinating activity with stakeholders, reporting, and executing a deliverable Previous experience working with timelines that cannot be adjusted (hard milestones) Complex data analysis/quantitative methodology experience Proven communication skills to include report writing and presenting to senior leadership Added bonus if you have Over the road or rail logistics planning working experience in automotive or high cost / high volume environment Experience working with a defined, repeatable process using
