Job Summary
We are seeking a Principal Performance Test Engineer with 12+ years of experience in owning performance, scalability, reliability, and capacity-validation strategy for cloud-native and distributed products. The engineer will architect reusable automation using JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling; integrate tests with CI/CD and observability platforms; analyze system behavior under load; and guide engineering teams toward measurable performance and resilience goals. What you’ll be doing Define performance-engineering strategy for load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability, resilience, capacity, and failover testing. Architect reusable frameworks and workload models using JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or an appropriate combination of tools. Translate production usage patterns, service-level objectives, transaction volumes, concurrency, and data profiles into realistic test models. Develop reusable protocol libraries, correlation and parameterization utilities, data generators, environment controls, result parsers, and reporting dashboards. Integrate performance suites into CI/CD pipelines for baseline, component, scheduled, and release-level execution. Correlate client-side results with application, infrastructure, container, database, queue, and network telemetry. Identify bottlenecks, support root-cause analysis, recommend tuning, and verify corrective actions with development, architecture, DevOps, and database teams. Define performance acceptance criteria, baselines, capacity thresholds, trend analysis, and go/no-go recommendations. Lead tool evaluations, framework governance, script reviews, mentoring, and performance-engineering standards across teams. What you’ll bring B.E/B. Tech in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / Electrical or related field Extensive hands-on performance automation experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling, including scripting, correlation, parameterization, workload modelling, execution, and analysis. Strong programming or scripting skills in Java, Scala, Python, or a comparable language for framework and utility development. Deep understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, web applications, microservices, messaging, databases, caching, networking, and distributed-system behavior. Experience testing cloud and container platforms, including Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, autoscaling, service discovery, and resource constraints. Proficiency with observability and analysis tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Application Insights, centralized logs, APM tools, and database diagnostics. Experience defining service-level indicators, service-level objectives, percentile response-time targets, throughput, error-rate, saturation, and capacity measures. Strong CI/CD, Git, test-data, environment, reporting, and automated threshold-management experience. Proven technical leadership, stakeholder communication, mentoring, and performance-risk decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with event-driven services, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, MQTT, streaming platforms, Redis, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies. Experience with resilience and chaos testing, failover validation, service-mesh telemetry, and
