Logistics Control Tower Analyst - Front Office/Back Office (m/f/x)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role   As an Analyst at the EMEA Logistics Control Tower , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. This Control Tower operates through two departments -   Front Office   and   Back Office   - which focus on different parts of the transportation process. Please note:   We are collecting applications for both roles through a single, joint process. You do not need to decide on a specific track when applying - during the interview stage we will discuss your preferences and, together with you, identify whether the Front Office or Back Office track is the better fit. Here, you will make an impact by: Front Office - visibility, escalations & business partnership Monitor transportation performance and ensure end-to-end shipment visibility across assigned markets, with a focus on critical and high-priority customer orders Proactively communicate transportation status and identify risks before they impact customers Lead cross-functional escalation and recovery processes and manage transportation-related customer escalations Act as the single transportation point of contact for assigned markets, building strong relationships with Sales, CSR, CIR and Planning teams Monitor service and customer-experience metrics, identify recurring root causes and recommend improvement initiatives Capture market feedback and share customer insights to drive continuous improvement in transportation visibility and service quality Back Office - planning, execution & operational performance Plan transportation requirements within the defined planning horizon, anticipating capacity constraints and securing carrier resources Balance network demand across hubs, plants and distribution centers while optimizing transportation utilization and lane efficiency Manage shipment execution from booking through final delivery, coordinating with plants, DCs and hubs Ensure carrier compliance with agreed service levels, monitor shipment progress and lead recovery actions when disruptions occur Monitor carrier performance against contractual KPIs and drive corrective actions and improvement plans Standardize transportation processes, support the implementation of transportation systems and digital solutions, and maintain data integrity and process compliance Your Skills and Expertise    To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements: Experience in transportation, logistics, customer service or supply chain (Front Office:   customer-facing environment; Back Office: transportation execution or planning activities) Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic operational environment Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with a variety of functions and partners Multi-cultural mindset and collaborative, team-player attitude Solid analytical and data-driven approach with a problem-solving mindset Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and execution discipline; ability to influence without direct authority Fluency in English; knowledge of any other EU language (especially German and French) is a plus Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: SAP TM experience Advanced Excel and reporting skills Supply Chain or Logistics degree Supporting Your Well-being     3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
