Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose: This one‑year Co‑Op provides a structured, hands‑on opportunity to Synthetics Continuous Improvements initiatives at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Gurabo. The Operations Continuous Improvement Co‑Op will contribute to cross‑functional improvement projects that drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency using Lean, Six Sigma, and data‑driven problem solving. The role includes formal onboarding to J&J OE tools, mentorship, and opportunities to present results to site leadership. You will be responsible: Support planning and execution of process improvement activities to reduce waste and improve flow, quality, and safety. Collect, cleanse, analyze, and visualize operational metrics (cycle time, yield, downtime, WIP) to identify improvement opportunities and quantify impact. Assist in root cause analysis (5 Whys, fishbone), develop countermeasures, and track implementation and sustainment. Create and update standard work, value stream maps and process maps to sustain improvements. Design, build, and maintain Operations Tier 2 visual management boards and performance dashboards (Power BI/Tableau). Lead cross‑functional team meetings and prepare clear status updates and presentation decks for collaborators and leadership. Supporting Continuous Improvement cultural initiatives Qualifications / Requirements: Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or related fields. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework. Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s program and eligible for a one‑year Co‑Op assignment for the requested term. Availability to work full‑time on‑site at Gurabo for the full one‑year term. Third year or higher education at an accredited University is required. Strong analytical capability and comfort working with data; proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas). Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma concepts; coursework or practical project experience preferred.
