Position
Summary: As the Powerplant Podding Technician II for Rolls-Royce, your role will be focused on primarily supporting the Business Aviation Integrated Power Plant System podding operation and supplementing the team supporting Gulfstream’s production operation.
What you will be doing
Comply with work scope instructions as directed by our operations and engineering groups Assemble engines together with power plant and nacelle components to build integrated power plant systems and use intermediate troubleshooting logic to identify defects in components or parts Access and use engine data materials such as aircraft maintenance manual, engine maintenance manual, etc. Understand, interpret and apply service bulletins, FAA advisory directives and technical variances when applicable Must be able to work overtime as needed Basic Requirements: High school diploma or GED (General Education Development) equivalent with 2+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience, OR Associate’s degree with 1+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul In order to be considered eligible for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Requirements: FAA Airframe & Power Plant License Prior customer relations experience Engine or Aircraft logbook familiarity Understanding of basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel functionality Mental & Physical Requirements: Ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds Our vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
