Industrial Maintenance Manager

Full Time: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift, 6:30am – 3:00pm                 with occasional on-call & off-shift hours Location:  Plant 1 – 3900 N. The Maintenance Technician works closely with the operations team, technical personnel, and the area supervisors to meet or exceed goals for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

Job Function Maintenance Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians to ensure safe and effective maintenance operations. • Establish department goals, performance metrics, and accountability measures. • Schedule maintenance activities to minimize production downtime. • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex equipment issues. • Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of maintenance personnel.   Equipment Reliability & Maintenance • Develop, implement, and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. • Oversee maintenance and repair of:      o Decoil/blanking/cut-to-length lines      o Overhead bridge cranes      o Side loaders and material handling equipment      o Forklifts      o Trumpf laser cutting machines      o CNC press brakes      o Air compressors and utility systems      o Facility electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime. • Maintain equipment records, repair histories, and preventive maintenance schedules.   Safety & Compliance • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. • Lead lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices and machine guarding compliance. • Conduct maintenance-related safety audits and corrective action activities. • Ensure maintenance activities comply with environmental regulations and company standards. • Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions.   Continuous Improvement • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction. • Analyze downtime data and develop corrective actions for recurring failures.
