POSITION
SUMMARY: The Senior Manager Digital Development leads the strategy, development, support, and continuous improvement of customer-facing web and mobile applications to deliver a best-in-class digital experience. The incumbent oversees teams responsible for the organization's digital platforms, partners with stakeholders to solve complex business challenges, and drives technology decisions related to system reliability, support, staffing, and long-term sustainability. The Senior Manager Digital Development also focuses on enhancing application resilience, operational effectiveness, and the overall performance of the digital technology portfolio.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides strategic direction for digital technology efforts that improve customer self-service, expand online transaction capabilities, and support enterprise growth. Manages competing priorities, workloads and activities to deliver digital initiatives that meet customer needs, business objectives, and operational scalability requirements. Develops and maintains strong working relationships and partnerships with key business stakeholders. Leads the evolution of customer-facing digital platforms that enable self-service, eCommerce capabilities, and scalable web experiences for a growing customer base. Drives improvements to website and mobile application performance, reliability, usability, and scalability to support increased digital adoption and expanding customer demand. Stays current on software development techniques and recommends improvements in support of application development efforts. Oversees and participates in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Plans and manages budgets, forecasts, projects and associated staffing requirements. Promotes reliable, resilient, and high-performing customer-facing digital platforms that support business growth and consistent customer experiences. Develops strong relationships with key vendors providing components of the department's services. Responsible for the hiring, promotion, associate performance evaluation, training, motivation, counseling, and discipline of employees. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience maintaining a budget for systems, vendors, and departments. Experience with eCommerce platform development, analytics, SEO, content management systems, and identity management capabilities. Experience developing integrated self-service applications, including customer-facing web and mobile applications that connect with downstream CRM and enterprise systems. Experience leading complex, cross-functional digital initiatives from planning through delivery, with accountability for scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder alignment. Experience applying AI-assisted or AI-driven development practices to improve software delivery, developer productivity, solution design, or product innovation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of information systems management experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience managing large, high volume, mission critical systems and support teams through all phases of the technology lifecycle from initial deployment through retirement. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in our Phoenix, AZ office. This candidate will be required to work onsite 4-days per week, with the option to work 1-day per week remote.
