AECOM is seeking a highly motivated part-time Communications Intern to support our growing Energy Practice during the academic year on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a student interested in energy, infrastructure, marketing, communications, and business development to gain hands-on experience supporting AECOM as we engage with some of North America's largest electric utility, power generation, transmission, and oil & gas clients. Working directly with industry leaders, you will help create compelling marketing content, support thought leadership initiatives, develop client-facing qualifications materials, and contribute innovative ideas that help strengthen AECOM's presence across the energy sector. We're looking for someone who brings energy, creativity, and initiative to every assignment and is eager to contribute wherever support is needed.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain client-facing qualifications packages, project descriptions, resumes, presentations, and other marketing collateral. Assist in writing, editing, and publishing articles, blogs, case studies, and thought leadership content focused on energy generation, transmission, distribution, and emerging energy technologies. Support AECOM's online presence through content creation and social media engagement, particularly LinkedIn. Research industry trends, utility priorities, market developments, and emerging technologies to support business development activities. Help prepare materials for client meetings, conferences, industry events, and speaking engagements. Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to translate complex engineering concepts into engaging and marketable content. Develop creative ideas to increase AECOM's visibility and engagement with utility, power generation, and oil & gas clients through both digital and in-person channels. Provide marketing, communications, and business development support across the Energy Practice as needed.
