About this role

Overview

MCAPS-Core accelerates customer outcomes and business growth. By uniting product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and partners around a common customer mission, we help customers realize value faster and turn innovation into measurable business impact. Through deep technical expertise and differentiated go-to-market execution, we win competitively, capture market share, and scale repeatable growth motions. We differentiate through value creation - delivering world-class, AI-powered customer experiences that accelerate adoption, strengthen loyalty, and create sustainable competitive advantage, driving growth that outpaces the market.   The Customer & Commercial Success (CCS) organization, an organization within MCAPS-Core, is the connected engine that turns Microsoft’s commercial strategy into execution at scale — making it simpler and faster for the field to win for every customer, in every segment, region, and role. The organization brings together planning, landing, execution excellence, services portfolio and delivery, and field activation across ATU, STU, and CSU to accelerate customer value, drive growth, and strengthen the end-to-end experience across every customer moment. Microsoft's Global Strategy & Operations (GSO) team turns strategy into execution for the Core commercial organization. The pace and complexity of the business demand disciplined operating rhythms that keep senior leaders aligned on the most important priorities, surface insights and blockers early, and drive measurable progress against commitments month over month. As part of Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions – Core (MCAPS-Core) and the Customer & Commercial Success organization, GSO owns the rhythm of the commercial business — including the Commercial Business Overview (CBO), Cohorts, and the Core organization's operating cadence — and serves as a connective interface across regional SE&O leadership, the Commercial Solution Areas (CSA), and the field. Operating as a high-influence individual contributor, the Senior Manager, Strategic Operations leads the operations and execution of the Core organization's most critical business rhythms — from the organization-wide rhythm of business to the executive-level Commercial Business Overview — while orchestrating cross-organization alignment with regional leads and helping govern strategic sales investments. You bring structure to ambiguity, prepare senior leaders to make decisions, and drive follow-through across many teams you do not own. The responsibilities below span the full scope of the team's work and may be allocated flexibly across business priorities.  Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

Rhythm of Business Shape and evolve the Core organization's executive operating model, keeping leadership focus aligned to the highest-impact business priorities. Drive governance that translates strategic objectives into measurable execution and clear accountability across the organization. Partner with senior leaders to surface emerging opportunities, business risks, and cross-organizational dependencies early through the operating cadence. Establish scalable frameworks that strengthen transparency, decision-making, and cross-functional alignment across business priorities. Convert executive discussions into outcomes by driving clarity on ownership, commitments, and organizational follow-through. Cross-Organization & Regional Leadership Alignment Serve as a strategic interface between Core Strategy & Operations and regional SE&O leadership, keeping priorities, initiatives, and business objectives aligned
