As a member of our Government Markets Practice Area, you’ll help propel our forward-thinking and purpose-driven team as we advance our clients’ missions. You’ll serve as an attorney providing support and leveraging experience with procurement tra nsa ctions at all stages, as well as regulatory compliance, as part of a broader legal department and the team of government markets attorneys supporting the government business across Civil, Defense, and National Security Sectors. You’ll support as the lead Govt Markets point of contact for the Health market within our Civil Sector. This will encompass  a wide range of complex tra nsa ctional issues at the prime and subcontract levels, and involve providing legal advice and counsel for Market leaders and their teams. You’ll anticipate business needs and develop practical solutions with agility and action. You’ll establish t rus ted partnerships across the company and collaborate with fellow members of the Legal, Ethics and Compliance team to protect and advance the company while navigating the complex, multifaceted, and often novel legal and compliance risks we face today. You Must Have: 8+ years of experience practicing law in a law firm , corporate, or government environment, including supporting commer cia l and technology matters Experience with government contract s law, including FAR, DFARS, federal procurement statutes and regulations, and bid protest jurisprudence Experience leading or assisting with prime contract and subcontract negotiations, pre-award support, and post-award counseling Experience partnering closely with senior business leaders to develop comprehensive solutions to problems Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate risks and root causes, and to aid in designing and implementing practical mitigation strategies or action plans Ability to listen actively and ensure that the right questions are being asked and answered and translate legalese or regulations into succinct, clear, and workable business solutions Ability to execute against clear goals, priorities, and success met rics or KPIs, and manage against program plans J.D. degree Active bar admission with any U.S. state bar Nice If You Have: Experience with commer cia l and non-FAR-based contracting, including federal or non-federal, or commer cia l Experience with state or local procurement law, including state statutes, regulations, processes, bidding, and negotiations with state or local governments Experience with government contract ing, including in a professional services firm Experience with sof tware develop ment or modernizing legacy or enterprise systems for government contract s Experience with advising on product or solution-oriented sales Experience with government contract s regulatory framework, espe cia lly rules and considerations for Post-Government Experience advising on information security and data safeguarding statutes, regulations, and compliance frameworks
