Engineering Specialist II (Slider Metrology)

The AFM Metrology team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) systems used in manufacturing and process control. The team supports AFM measurement operations, image analysis for critical quality parameters (CTQ), equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. The team works closely with process, engineering, quality, and production groups to ensure measurement capability and equipment readiness.

Perform AFM image analysis and data interpretation for various Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) parameters.

Review AFM measurement results and ensure compliance with process and quality requirements.

Troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance for AFM equipment.

Support AFM system calibration, qualification, and performance verification activities.

Investigate measurement or equipment-related issues and conduct root cause analysis.

Collaborate with process engineers to improve measurement methods and system performance.

Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and analysis documentation.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement capability, equipment reliability, and manufacturing yield.
