About this role               The Team Lead will have thorough knowledge of all of the department operations and the ability to demonstrate the process proficiency.

Lead will be able to provide immediate process or assembly back up for any absenteeism.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Coordination Lead Shift Handovers: Facilitate daily meetings with cross-shift counterparts at the start and end of shifts to ensure seamless production continuity and communication. Coordinate Daily Operations: Assign daily workstations and tasks to team members based on production schedules, skill levels, and business needs. Drive Performance Metrics: Host weekly stand-up meetings with the team to review previous performance metrics (safety, quality, output) and address operational concerns. Champion Continuous Improvement (CI): Act as the primary channel for gathering, reviewing, and implementing CI suggestions from the assembly team to optimize workflow. Core Assembly & Production Execute Precision Assembly: Perform complex product assembly and diagnostic testing strictly following Carrier’s standard operating procedures and quality specifications. Ensure Operational Safety: Safely and proficiently operate power tools and manufacturing equipment to prevent defects, reduce scrap, and maintain a zero-incident safety culture. Meet Production Targets: Consistently assemble components on time, maintaining high personal and team standards for productivity and quality. Cross-Train & Adapt: Master multiple workstations within the department to provide flexible, cross-functional support wherever production demands peak. Facility & Compliance Standards Maintain 5S Standards: Sustain a clean, organized, and safe workstation while actively assisting with broader departmental housekeeping initiatives. Support Operational Flexibility: Fulfill business requirements by accommodating overtime and weekend shifts as necessary to hit critical delivery targets.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED 3+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly 1+ years of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments Preferred Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively lead shift handovers, host weekly stand-up meetings, and assign daily tasks. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) and a proven track record of identifying or implementing process improvements. Demonstrated ability to master multiple workstations and cross-train peers as production demands change. Proficiency in basic software (like Microsoft Excel or internal production dashboards) to track weekly metric results and log CI suggestions. Ability to independently troubleshoot assembly issues, resolve minor conflicts on the floor, and escalate safety or quality concerns when necessary.
