• The areas where this teams expertise lies is in Preparing and posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, supporting month end closing, preparing reports and supports in audits, perform variance analysis and provide comments for month over month movement in Trial Balance, perform reporting activities, perform intercompany related activities, FA and Lease related activities.
• The Account Reconciliation team focuses on general ledger accounting which contains a summary of sub-ledger accounts. The role requires a good understanding of P&L accounts, bookkeeping, journal entries, voucher entry, trial balance, and month-end reporting. The role may also need expertise around intercompany reconciliations, cut-off policies, transfer pricing policies, formal confirmation policy & procedure What are we looking for? • • Balance Sheet Reconciliations • • Problem-solving skills • • Strong analytical skills • • Strong stakeholder management • • Adaptable and flexible • • Ability to perform under pressure • • Written and verbal communication • • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders • • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced retail enviornment Roles and Responsibilities: • • Lead and Manage the Retail accounting team, including coaching and performance development. • • Oversee end-to-end retail accounting processed including sales, inventory and cost of goods sold. • • Own month-end, quarter end and year-end close for retail operations • • Review and approve Journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports • • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAPs) and internal controls • • Partner with operations, supply chain and FP&A teams • • Lead Audit activities and serve as primary contact for Auditors • • Drive process improvements and systems enhancements • • Ability to reconcile accounts, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. • • High accuracy in transaction processing and reporting. • • Investigate and resolve variances between ERP and reporting packages. • • Proactive in resolving discrepancies and improving processes • • Coach team members and provide first-level guidance on procedures, methods. • • You are required to create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures • • You are required to understand the strategic direction set by senior management, clearly communicate team goals, deliverables, and keep the team updated on change • • Your primary upward interactions are with your direct supervisor • • You may interact with
