Purpose: As a Principal Scientist - Synthetics Chromatography, you will join the Analytical Method & Stability Center (AMSC) within the Analytical Development department, which is part of the Therapeutics Development & Supply organization within J&J Innovative Medicine. The AMSC mission is to strengthen product understanding and support drug development by combining strong analytical science, end‑to‑end stability expertise, and close project integration. To further strengthen our team, we are looking for a highly motivated Principal Scientist who is passionate about groundbreaking analytical sciences and innovation to have impact on drug development of synthetic modalities to transform patients’ lives. In this laboratory-based position, you will be a key analytical expert developing and applying state-of-the-art chromatographic and High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HRMS) methods to analyse and characterize active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug products, impurities, and degradation products throughout the product lifecycle. Combining scientific expertise with a strong data-centric approach, you will harness advanced analytics and digital technologies to generate insights, solve complex analytical challenges, and support strategic decision-making. You will also play a leading role in implementing innovative, digitally enabled analytical platforms that shape the future of pharmaceutical development. You will be responsible for: You are responsible for the execution of analytical experimental work such as method development, validation, product characterization and stability testing mainly based on Liquid Chromatography (LC) coupled with UV/ MS detection You initiate new scientific ideas and technical opportunities to build on a digitally enabled future ready analytical lab You independently manage multiple assigned projects (including Peptide, Conjugates, degraders, etc): establish priorities in line with the project- and team objectives/deliverables You will collaborate closely with colleagues in other Analytical Development teams, API and Drug product development Qualifications / Requirements:
