Chevron is seeking a Team Lead, Time Administration to lead U.S. and Canada time administration operations for a complex, multi-population workforce. This role is accountable for ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely capture, validation, and processing of time and attendance data across multiple states, unions, labor agreements, work schedules, employee populations, and timekeeping platforms. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership to a geographically dispersed team of time administration employees and contractors, serve as an escalation point for complex time and attendance issues, and act as a trusted functional advisor to Payroll, Labor Relations, Legal, Total Rewards, Health and Medical, Digital/IT, HR stakeholders, business leaders, supervisors, and employees. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Lead Time Administration operations for U.S. and Canada employee populations, including exempt, non-exempt, hourly, shipping/Mariner, expatriate, represented, and non-represented employees. Manage and coach a team of approximately 10–12 employees and contractors, reinforcing standard work practices, quality expectations, performance accountability, and effective use of timekeeping systems. Ensure time and attendance data is captured, validated, corrected, and processed accurately and in compliance with company policy, payroll controls, labor regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and business requirements. Serve as the escalation point for moderate to highly complex time, attendance, leave, payroll, and system issues involving overlapping policy, regulatory, labor agreement, and system considerations. Provide expert consultation to Payroll, Labor Relations, Legal, Total Rewards, Health and Medical, Digital/IT, HR, and business stakeholders on time administration practices, pay rules, work schedules, system impacts, and compliance risks. Partners with Digital/IT and technology teams on Workday, Time Management, and legacy timekeeping enhancements, including requirements gathering, testing, issue resolution, change management, and implementation support. Lead or support time, leave, and payroll workstreams for system deployments, enhancements, migrations, acquisitions, divestitures, and enterprise technology transformation initiatives. Drive continuous improvement, standardization, control effectiveness, and operational excellence across time administration processes. Support talent management, performance management, skills development, workforce planning, and capability building for the Time Administration team. Required Qualifications: +5 years of experience in time administration, payroll, HR operations, workforce management, or a related function with responsibility for accurate, compliant employee time and pay outcomes. Working knowledge of timekeeping processes, payroll controls, work schedules, pay practices, leave-related processes, and applicable compliance requirements. Ability to interpret and apply company policies, labor agreements, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures to resolve routine and non-routine time administration issues. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, prioritize work, and build capability across a team or function. Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and risk-assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and recommend practical, defensible solutions. Ability to manage escalations, balance stakeholder needs, and communicate decisions and guidance clearly to employees, supervisors, HR, Payroll, Legal, Labor Relations, and business stakeholders.
