Basic Job Functions
The NDT Lead position is a technical role with the responsibility of supporting several aspects of Nucor Memphis NDT lines, including (but not limited to) safety driven efforts, development of processes to meet specific customer specifications, review of product and test results, equipment calibrations, process improvement, and production/sales support. This teammate must be prepared to eagerly take on a variety of job tasks, working in a fast-paced environment to meet the changing demands of our customers and the Nucor team. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications:
Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and holidays Level 2 MT/UT Certified 3 Years experience with Non-destructive testing in steel applications Preferred Qualifications:
1. Steel production or primary metals manufacturing experience 2. Experience with Non-Destructive Testing of SBQ steel 3. Knowledge of industry Standards for Non-Destructive Testing 4. Two to four year technical degree or equivalent experience
