Your Contribution



As Team Lead, Legacy Sites, you will lead the safe, compliant, and sustainable management of Newmont’s Battle Mountain legacy site in San Luis, Colorado. This is an active water treatment site, and you will oversee water treatment plant operations and maintenance, environmental monitoring programs, site infrastructure, contractor performance, and community engagement initiatives.

You will lead the site-based team and ensure activities comply with applicable regulatory obligations, operating requirements, and Newmont standards. The role serves as the local decision-maker and primary point of contact for regulators, community stakeholders, and other interested parties, helping protect Newmont’s reputation and fulfill its long-term environmental commitments.

As part of our team, You will



• Provide visible, felt safety leadership and promote a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and consultants.

• Lead the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of the site’s active water treatment plant and associated water-management infrastructure.

• Oversee treatment processes, routine inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, sampling, monitoring, and operational recordkeeping.
