Department Overview The Wealth & Insurance Finance department has accountability for the major financial functions of TDBG’s Wealth Management and Insurance businesses, providing business planning, financial measurement and analysis, valuation, and risk assessment services.
Job Description
This position will report to the AVP, Wealth & Insurance Consolidation, and will be focused on forward-looking projection and analytics for the Wealth business. This includes coordination of Forecast & Plan cycles covering Wealth P&L, Balance Sheet and ACAP, MTO, Outlook, as well as related ad-hoc deliverables supporting Group Head of Wealth & Insurance, Wealth CFO, and other senior Bank leaders. The role has a number of accountabilities which include, but not limited to the following: Support Wealth Forecast & Plan coordination, execution and consolidation supporting Business Head and CFO reviews. Contribute to Senior Executive decks for forecast presentation and ad hoc asks providing insightful, driver-based variance analysis with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to "tell the story". Provide decision support to Wealth CFO and contribute to effective stakeholder collaborations with Corporate Segment Finance, TBSM, EDS etc. Develop and design value-added management reporting as well as competitor benchmarking to provide insightful interpretation of key business drivers underlying business results, highlight key issues and make appropriate recommendations. Contribute to the team's overall success. Be agile and problem-solve to stay on-track. Job Requirements: University/College education with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business. CPA, CFA or relevant professional certifications, accounting designations considered an asset. Understanding of Wealth Management products would be an asset. Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented while still able to synthesize issues and present concise concepts and solutions. Strong business acumen, leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within a highly demanding environment. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business partners including senior executives. Demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues, take ownership, and drive them to resolution. Strong understanding of financial accounting processes and internal control structures. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS SharePoint, Hyperion and/or EPM.
