The opportunity Assistant Manager/ Manager – Business Consulting - Finance Technology & AI EY is building its EY.ai for Finance capability across MENA to meet fast-growing client demand for AI-enabled finance transformation. The successful candidate will help EY teams take AI-enabled FP&A solutions to clients faster and at scale, moving finance functions from reporting the past to shaping the future through driver-based forecasting, variance intelligence, scenario planning and autonomous insights. You will work at the intersection of finance and technology, translating real FP&A challenges into deployable AI solutions and acting as a bridge between CFO-level stakeholders and technical delivery teams. Why this role matters
Market momentum: 90% of CFOs are actively integrating AI into long-term strategy, and adoption of AI in FP&A rose sharply from around 6% in 2024 to a 41% increase in usage in 2025, creating strong, sustained client demand across MENA. Tangible impact : Up to 45% of FP&A time is still spent cleaning and reconciling data; this role directly targets that gap by embedding AI-driven forecasting, automated reporting and insight generation.
Skills and attributes for success AI-enabled FP&A delivery
Design and deploy AI/ML-driven FP&A solutions, driver-based forecasting, predictive and probabilistic forecasts, variance intelligence and “what-if” scenario modelling, that generate decision-ready insights for clients. Automate management reporting, variance analysis and narrative generation, reducing manual effort and close/reporting cycle times. Configure and tailor the EY.ai Finance multi-agent predictive engine and natural-language interface to each client’s data landscape and use cases.
Data & technical enablement
Build and integrate trusted data foundations across ERPs, EPMs and finance tools, ensuring data quality, governance and lineage to power reliable AI outputs. Apply hands-on technical and coding capability (e.g., Python/SQL) to data pipelines, model configuration, analytics and prototype development. Leverage GenAI and agentic AI to enrich data, harmonise multi-source inputs and surface anomalies, trends and unexplained variances.
Client advisory & finance domain
Translate client FP&A pain points into practical AI use cases; run current-state assessments, target-state definition and gap analysis. Bring strong FP&A domain expertise, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, management reporting, to ensure AI initiatives align with finance goals and support responsible decision-making. Engage CFO-level and senior finance stakeholders, demystifying AI, building trust and driving adoption through effective change management.
Practice building
Contribute to the build-out of the Finance.AI capability across MENA, accelerators, methodologies, go-to-market assets and proposals. Support pursuits, proof-of-concepts and pilots, and help scale successful solutions to new clients and finance domains (Controllership, Risk, Treasury, Tax).
To qualify for the role, you must have
A blend of AI, data and technical skills combined with a strong understanding of finance and ideally FP&A. Hands-on technical and coding capability (e.g., Python, SQL) and familiarity with AI/ML concepts, predictive analytics, forecasting, anomaly detection and automated reconciliations. Strong data literacy: ability to analyse structured and unstructured financial data and interpret AI-driven insights to inform decisions. 4-8 years of experience with FP&A processes and/or finance transformation, planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
