Here, you will make an impact by:   Conducting and communicating human health risk assessments on a broad range of 3M products, taking into consideration   identified   hazards and exposure according to the intended product use. This includes assessing scientific literature, evaluating the toxicological database, determining   appropriate toxicological   and other safety endpoints, conducting exposure assessments, and providing written documentation.   Authoring chemical hazard summaries for inclusion in 3M databases,   advocating for   alternative chemical   selection   where possible, and supporting   chemicals   management.   Recommending and coordinating   appropriate toxicology   study placements with   third-party contract research organizations.   Actively evaluate emerging scientific methods, tools, and regulatory developments, and   contribute   ideas that improve the efficiency, quality, and scientific robustness of toxicological assessments.   Serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and collaborating with project teams to support 3 M’s   business priorities.   Demonstrating a personal commitment to   maintaining   and enhancing technical and professional skills.   Your Skills and Expertise     Master’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university   in toxicology, pharmacology, biomedical or related scientific field of study .   Three (3) or more years of experience conducting toxicological assessments, human health risk assessments, or product safety evaluations, including the interpretation and integration of experimental and computational data to support business and regulatory decisions.   Additional   qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:   PhD, MD, or DVM with 1+ years of experience.   Board certification (DABT) is preferred but not   required . Demonstrated   expertise   in the application of OECD QSAR Toolbox and other computational toxicology tools for hazard prediction, chemical categorization, read-across justification, and weight-of-evidence assessment. Ability to critically evaluate model outputs, document scientific rationale, and communicate conclusions effectively   to stakeholders .   Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills with   demonstrated   proficiency   working effectively with technical staff from diverse backgrounds. Must be an effective communicator to technical and non-technical audiences in oral and written correspondences as well as presentation formats.   Demonstrated ability to balance independent work with cross-functional collaboration, effectively managing multiple   priorities   and delivering scientifically sound outcomes on schedule.     Work location:  Remote in the US.
