DJBOSS: Firefighter/Fire Inspector

Title: DJBOSS: Firefighter/Fire Inspector Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary KBR sustains the operational well-being of U.S. armed forces at Djibouti, Africa, Camp Lemonnier Naval Base. Our services encompass program management, contingency and expeditionary, asset management and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. KBR ensures the base operates smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.

Participates in fire and emergency services activities including fire suppression (Structural and ARFF), EMS, rescue, public assistance, fire investigation, fire prevention, pre-fire planning, fire company training, public education, clinical training and routine operation and maintenance of apparatus, equipment and facilities. Will serve as a structural firefighter, airport firefighter, driver/operator, and or Emergency Medical Responder on a scheduled rotation. If qualified, may fill in as Crew Chief when needed. Obtains and maintains Emergency Medical Responder certification and CPR card as conditions of employment. Obeys orders of supervisors, cooperates with fellow Fire Fighters, follows the orders of medical direction. Maintains a neat appearance, physical fitness, acceptable grooming standards and maintains good conduct. Roles and Responsibilities Perform fire prevention / fire safety inspections in accordance with applicable DOD, US Navy, NFPA and Local policies, codes and regulations. Deliver fire and life safety public education and training in a variety of settings, including initiating and supervising fire evacuation drills, performing fire safety demonstrations and delivering presentations at public forums. Perform on-the-spot training and corrections. Perform follow-up visits and inspections. Properly document all fire prevention and public education activities. Manage and perform associated administrative duties. Maintain a neat appearance, physical fitness and acceptable grooming standards. Fill-in as a Firefighter as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Obtain and maintain Emergency Medical Responder Certification and CPR Certification.
