JOB SUMMARY
Provides secretarial, clerical and scheduling support for the DON and Nursing Department. Maintains employee records. Prepares and distributes staffing schedules. Performs payroll duties and monitors employee performance evaluations. Monitors keys. Maintains department manuals. Schedules outside consults. Provides clerical support to House Physicians. Maintains office, work and supply areas. Ability to work flexible hours. Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 1 to 2 years administrative experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Staff scheduling experience strongly preferred. Experience with office systems and equipment and computer skills required. Knowledge: Good overall knowledge of general office systems and excellent organizational skills are essential. Word processing skills are required. Language and communication skills with hospital staff, physicians, community members, referral sources, and others is essential. Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
