Labcorp is seeking an Intern- Quality Control to join our team at Shanghai, China Internship Details: Duration : about 20 weeks, full-time and onsite Dates of Internship : Dec2026 –May2027 Compensation : Paid internship Eligibility : Final-year students who are expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred. However, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply.
About Team
The Quality Control (QC) team plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of study data throughout the drug development process. Our team is responsible for reviewing a wide range of data—from raw experimental records to final reports—against applicable SOPs, protocols and methods. By maintaining rigorous quality standards, we help safeguard patient safety and support the successful delivery of clinical and bioanalytical studies. Working at the intersection of science and compliance, our team collaborates closely with operational and scientific personnel across the organization. This environment offers interns an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality control, and build a strong foundation for a career in the life sciences industry. You will learn about Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for bioanalytical studies, as well as the importance of data integrity and the associated requirements within GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GCP (Good Clinical Practice) environments. Students will gain real-world experience working as part of a drug development team. Understands the quality control reviewer’s responsibility. Reviews basic types of working documentation and study data to ensure meet quality standards and compliance with applicable Plans, SOPs, regulations (e.g. GLPs, GCP) and client requirements. Seeks to expand a strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. GLPs), SOP requirements, and other guidance documents. Applies existing knowledge to data review tasks. Conducts the support work for QC team. Utilizes knowledge of different kinds of software for review of electronic data. Solves quality problems independently by contacting internal staff. Performs other related duties as assigned. Instruction and mentorship will be provided. Internship Assignment Summary: Review working documents and study data for accuracy and compliance with appropriate SOPs, regulations (e.g. GLPs) and client requirements. Expand knowledge of regulatory requirements, SOP requirements, and other guidance documents. Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your soft skills and professional presence.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Drug Analysis, or a related scientific discipline. Ability to efficiently use computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) Preferred Qualifications: Have an educational background that related to bioanalysis, such as pharmacy, drug analysis, bioengineering and biotechnology etc. Hands-on laboratory
