Jabil is seeking a Technical Business Unit Manager to play a key leadership role in launching a new manufacturing facility in Prince George, VA . This exciting opportunity combines customer engagement, technical leadership, and operational execution as you help build a world-class operation supporting large-scale, highly engineered equipment used in critical infrastructure applications. As part of the core startup team, you'll help establish manufacturing processes, build operational capabilities, support customer programs, and serve as the technical bridge between customers and Jabil's global organization. Location: Prince George, VA (On-Site) Travel: Up to 25% Domestic & International What You'll Do Serve as the primary technical and commercial point of contact for key customer programs. Align customer technology roadmaps with Jabil's engineering, manufacturing, and operational capabilities. Lead complex projects from concept through production, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and customer expectations. Support the startup of a new manufacturing facility, including process development, operational readiness, and manufacturing team onboarding. Partner with customers, engineering teams, and operations leaders to deliver innovative, scalable manufacturing solutions. Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), technical proposals, project plans, and business cases. Drive early supplier involvement and support new product introductions and R&D initiatives. Lead customer presentations, technical reviews, and executive-level discussions. Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and business teams to ensure flawless program execution. Identify opportunities to expand Jabil's value-added services, including design, development, and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree required; Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred. 6+ years of experience in engineering, product development, manufacturing, R&D, or technical program leadership. Strong understanding of complex manufacturing environments and customer-facing technical program management. Experience supporting large-scale electrical, power electronics, industrial equipment, or infrastructure-related products. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including electrical assemblies, panel wiring, medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, and high-power electronic assemblies. Excellent communication, customer relationship management, and executive presentation skills. Strong project management, financial, and business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree. PMP Certification. Experience supporting factory startups, manufacturing transfers, or greenfield operations. Background working with large, highly engineered equipment or capital equipment programs. Why Jabil?
