GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: Responsible for the administration and operational delivery of health and welfare benefit programs, partnering with third-party administrators, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate plan administration, colleague support, and regulatory compliance. Oversees benefit operations, vendor performance, eligibility and payroll data integrity, annual enrollment activities, compliance reporting, and participant communications while driving process improvements, supporting benefit-related projects and integrations, and maintaining strong controls, governance, and documentation. This position reports through the People Operations team with a strong partnership with the Benefits Center of Excellence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The colleague is responsible for: Operations & Governance Perform day-to-day administration of health and welfare plans, including eligibility, enrollments, life events, billing, funding, and premium payments. Support vendor partnerships through issue triage, escalation management, SLA monitoring, and service delivery oversight. Manage Annual Enrollment activities, including testing, issue tracking, reconciliations, and post-enrollment reviews. Support acquisitions, divestitures, plan changes, and vendor initiatives through implementation and operational execution. Assist with vendor setup, purchase orders, invoicing, and benefits administration activities. Coordinate global EAP training, critical incident support services, and regional reporting. Process Efficiency & Continuous Improvement Maintain and enhance benefits processes, procedures, and knowledge resources. Partner with vendors to standardize workflows, reduce recurring issues, and improve operational effectiveness. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative actions for data and process discrepancies. Support UAT and process testing to improve participant-facing applications, payroll integrations, and benefits processes. Compliance & Data Integrity Coordinate payroll, HRIS, and vendor data exchanges, ensuring accurate file validation, discrepancy resolution, and data integrity. Perform monthly and annual compliance reporting to meet local, state, and federal requirements. Support nondiscrimination testing and implementation of corrective actions. Execute SOX controls testing and UAT for benefit calculations, payroll deductions, and participant-facing systems. Maintain accurate and compliant plan documentation, administrative guides, job aids, and plan summaries. Stakeholder Management Resolve colleague escalations by researching plan provisions, documenting outcomes, and communicating timely resolutions. Support vendor communications and benefit-related events. Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and Communications teams to ensure aligned benefit operations and accurate colleague guidance. Monitor benefits mailboxes, draft responses, and coordinate participant communications and outreach campaigns. Partner with carriers, TPAs, vendors, and internal stakeholders to
