Physical Security Planner The Opportunity: As a Physical Security Planner on the DPRI team, you are on the front lines of safeguarding the nation’s most critical overseas military infrastructure investments. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in force protection and electronic security systems to large-scale, international construction projects that are shaping the future of U.S. strategic posture. You will serve as a key security advisor, ensuring that multi-million-dollar facilities are resilient, secure, and compliant from concept to completion. Your work will directly contribute to the operational integrity of strategic initiatives, protect warfighting assets, and provide you with a critical role in a dynamic, mission-focused environment. You Have: 5+ years of experience in physical security, antiterrorism, force protection, or electronic security system (ESS) project management for military or government facilities Experience preparing detailed implementation plans, including cost and resource estimates, for large-scale security infrastructure projects Experience with the planning and integration of electronic security systems, including CCTV, automated access control, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) Experience performing structured risk analyses for construction or renovation projects to ensure security requirements are properly incorporated into facility designs Ability to conduct on-site surveys and technical inspections to validate facility designs and construction efforts against security program requirements Ability to partner effectively with varied stakeholders, including military leadership, government engineers, and external contractors, on complex construction initiatives Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in Security Management or Cybersecurity Nice If You Have: Experience supporting the Defense Policy Review Initiative (DPRI), Host Nation Construction, or other bilateral U.S.-Japan military programs Experience serving as a Security Forces, Military Police, or Antiterrorism officer or NCO Experience protecting high-value assets Experience liaising with technical engineering entities, such as the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), to evaluate and maintain security infrastructure Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network security, and data integrity as they relate to physical security systems Ability to analyze aging security and communications systems to identify opportunities for technology modernization and enhancement Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
