Transmission Lineman

PS Job Title: Helper - Apprentice 3rd Year Work Place Flexibility: Onsite  Legal Entity:  Entergy Arkansas, LLC

***This position can be filled by a Helper through an Apprentice 3rd year based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.*** ***This position has a 60-minute reporting requirement: the selected candidate must live within 60 minutes of the job site.***   JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Construct, Build and Maintain Overhead Transmission Line Electric Facilities with primary voltages ranging from 69KV-500 KV including but not limited to:

Driving of different sizes and types of trucks Operation of various pieces of equipment (Entergy owned and rental), including but not limited to Aerial Bucket, Cranes and Digger Derrick Trucks Perform transmission line hot sticking on energized lines Read and understand job prints and sketches Recognize material(s) and their function Setting and climbing of all sizes of poles Be available for emergency after hour response and participate in on call duty rotation Perform transmission line switching Perform transmission line EPZ grounding

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum experience required of the position: Helper 1st Year: 0 years experience required Apprentice 1st Year:  Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program OR prior demonstrated linework experience required Apprentice 2nd Year:  2 years of experience required Apprentice 3rd Year - 3 years of experience required   As a condition of employment this position requires a pre-employment Fitness for Duty exam   Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required Good communication skills Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks with limited supervision Ability to plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner Ability to assume a lead role and direct the work of other linemen Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures Ability to learn through classroom instruction, OJT and repetitive motions Ability to climb and work off of poles of various heights Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to eliminate and or mitigate the hazards Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base Preferred:

Ability to work with others and maintain a positive attitude in extreme working situations and an ever-changing work environment Ability to converse with customers in a professional and courteous manner Must be committed to quality and a high level of service satisfaction and render first class service to all customers

A Class A CDL License Successful completion of EEI CAST testing
