Meet the Team The Commodities Middle Office team supports Millennium’s global commodities trading business across a broad range of products and markets. The team works across Energy, Metals and Precious Metals, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Risk, Technology and Core Operations to help maintain accurate books and records, support front-to-back trade flow, and strengthen day-to-day operational processes and controls in a fast-paced trading environment.
What You'll Do
Monitor intraday trading activity across commodities instruments and support accurate trade capture on trade date in partnership with Risk and Technology Ensure timely and accurate T+0 trade affirmation and confirmation across multiple commodities asset classes and derivative products Support trade capture and lifecycle processing across Energy, Metals and Precious Metals, including Futures, Options, TRS and other OTC derivatives Partner closely with Portfolio Managers and Trading teams to resolve position, pricing, technology, risk and security-related issues Investigate and resolve trade breaks by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to maintain accurate risk, positions and P&L Liaise regularly with prime brokers, sell-side dealers and vendors to address operational issues and improve day-to-day procedures Work across teams to streamline workflows, enhance controls and improve the support model for the global commodities business What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline 3-5 years of experience in a similar middle office role within a commodities trading environment Hands-on experience supporting commodities derivative products, with particular depth in Energy markets including natural gas, power and crude Strong understanding of the operational support model and full product lifecycle across commodities products High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills Ability to learn quickly, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and with external counterparties Self-starter mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
