How you’ll make an impact: As Broadcast Infrastructure Technician at SiriusXM, you are in a front-facing role where you provide first line technical support for SiriusXM’s Broadcast and IT Systems, Studio personnel and Remote Users. You will be a key player contributing to our 100% On-Air uptime goal by utilizing your troubleshooting skills, knowledge, and experience to support the Broadcast facility and studios of the Sirius XM Project work is an important aspect of the role, helping to improve workflows and increase our level of technology. You will be an active contributor and implementer of Sirius XM Broadcast Projects and will be expected to lead projects and resolve complex issues. What you’ll do: This is a shift work position in a 24/7 facility . During your shift you will review systems operations logs, install software and firmware updates to a range of broadcast specific hardware and IT based workstations and servers- both physical and virtual. You will assist and troubleshoot technical issues for both in-house and remote studio users. You will address networking issues that are local or across sites.   Using your troubleshooting abilities, you will isolate and resolve the issues or escalate to subject Matter Experts (SMEs) via escalation procedures. In addition to troubleshooting, you will ticket issues and communicate status to management and affected teams. What you’ll need: Minimum 3 years of hands-on & remote technical experience in broadcast or media content creation facility Minimum 0-2 years of leading technical projects and supervising technicians Proficiency in a wide range of broadcasting or IT equipment and systems Moderate decision-making authority, may make recommendations and implement solutions College degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military or industry experience Knowledge of standard MS office suite, Visio and AutoCad
