Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support. The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Senior Principal Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization.   The qualified candidate will be responsible for: Develop and/or lead support software tool development in a DevSecOps pipeline Participate in and/or lead process improvements Perform trade studies and analyze solutions Develop and/or lead software requirements and designs within the Agile Framework Perform and/or lead software verification within the Agile Framework Participate in and/or lead Agile ceremonies Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking per Agile framework Potential to serve as Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner, Product Manager, and/or part of the Development Team What You Will Learn: As a member of a dynamic engineering organization, this position offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to apply multidisciplinary engineering and leadership skills in the development and support of complex engine control and diagnostic systems and software.

You Must Have: Bachelors' Degree Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) 10 years engineering experience or an advanced Degree with 7 years prior engineering experience.

We Prefer: Solid track record of achieving results in a technical role Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure engineering environment Outstanding cross discipline communication skills Experience delivering DevSecOps or automation solutions Proficient in at least one scripting or embedded code language Matlab/Simulink experience Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS/Azure Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework Prior safety critical software development experience Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design What We Offer:
