AD, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting

Become a part of our caring community   The Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. You will establish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligence. You will evaluate industry, economic, financial, operational, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position. The Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s). The Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting reports to the Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting and will oversee, develop, and communicate results of complex models and analytics in support of primary care organization reserve development. This role ensures data integrity through effective controls and processes, partners with stakeholders to solve business challenges, oversees and performs root cause analysis of trend and restatement drivers, and develops cost-effective solutions to complex operational and technical problems. The position leads a team of specialized actuarial and analytics professionals. Use your skills to make an impact   Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree FSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, extensive work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations MAAA Demonstrated leadership capability Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms Experience in more than three functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending) and more than one product Preferred Qualifications Experience building actuarial models Visionary - embraces the big picture and translates into strategy; anticipates longer term business needs and prepares team to take on challenges Effective Influencer Talent mindset - integrates organization effectiveness, winning culture and human capital Emotion intelligence Presence - comfortable with senior leaders and other functional areas Persuasive - effectively communicates trade-offs of business decisions and can sway an audience towards a course of action inclusive of external audiences and sharing business rationale Additional Information This is a remote position. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.   Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.   Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.   $156,600 - $215,400 per year   This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
