The Google Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with the current financial regulations. Comprised of multitaskers, this team balances Google's legal and compliance requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company. As part of this team, you proactively identify pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and find innovative solutions. You develop efficient compliance systems and work with teams to implement these across the organization. You are thorough in all you do and see to it that as Google pursues our next big idea, we always have our bases covered. As a Third-Party Governance and Oversight (3PGO) Program Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic roadmap for third-party risk management, executing key initiatives, and driving the cross-functional coordination required to establish a unified third-party risk management process. You will partner with and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders spanning Engineering, specialized Risk Domains, Product Area (PA) Compliance teams, Legal, Security, and Procurement to align teams behind a single, end-to-end risk ecosystem. You bring a multidisciplinary skillset, robust program management experience, sharp business acumen, exceptional cross-functional collaboration, and a proven talent for building consensus and driving alignment without direct authority. Experience driving enterprise risk strategy and cross-domain governance is highly valued for this role. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Develop overall 3PGO strategy and engagement to successfully land a unified third-party risk management framework across the company, driving aligned risk mitigation across all specialized risk domains and business units. Lead cross-functional working groups partnering with specialized risk domains, engineering, legal, compliance, and procurement to advance 3PGO initiatives and maintain momentum on core governance goals. Research, propose, and implement industry-leading third-party risk management and compliance standards, frameworks, and governance practices to continually mature the overall 3PGO operating model. Author strategic dashboards, risk metrics, and briefing materials for monthly executive steering committees and executive leadership reviews. Manage day-to-day program oversight, continuous monitoring, and cross-functional remediation plans to track and resolve high-priority third-party risks, exceptions, and non-compliance issues.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting. Experience in program management. Experience with third-party risk management. Preferred qualifications: Experience building, scaling, or operationalizing third-party risk programs, risk-tiering frameworks, and enterprise governance models in complex environments. Demonstrated track record of influencing cross-functional teams and partners to align on shared governance and risk mitigation goals. Demonstrated ability to adapt and excel in a rapidly evolving risk landscape, translating complex cross-domain risks into actionable insights and strategic executive reporting with meticulous attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to drive complex governance initiatives from strategy to execution, unifying teams and standardizing workflows. Ability to build consensus, influence without authority, and drive strategic change across matrixed organizations.
