As a Sales Assistant in the China Equity Derivatives Sales team, you will support day-to-day client coverage and help coordinate execution and post-trade processes. You will monitor markets, assist with timely client communications, and help produce professional client materials. You will work in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and risk awareness.
Job responsibilities
Support Sales coverage of institutional clients focused on China equities and equity derivative solutions across onshore and offshore markets Coordinate execution workflows across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Risk partners Assist with trade booking support, confirmations, settlements, lifecycle events, and post-trade client queries Prepare indicative pricing materials and support requests for quotes in partnership with Trading and Structuring Produce and maintain client materials, including presentations, pitch books, term sheets, and performance updates Validate the accuracy and consistency of client-facing materials and ensure a professional standard of presentation Support client onboarding activities, including know-your-customer processes, documentation tracking, and account set-up steps Maintain internal records and documentation of sales activity in accordance with applicable standards and controls Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline 1 year of experience in a global markets environment supporting equities and/or derivatives activities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure with strong attention to detail Strong numerical and analytical skills, including comfort working with pricing- and performance-related materials Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a broad set of partners Proficiency with standard productivity tools (for example, spreadsheets and presentations) used to build client materials Demonstrated ownership mindset, professionalism, and willingness to learn Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience supporting equity derivatives, structured products, and/or equity solutions sales activities Familiarity with China institutional client coverage and market conventions Cantonese language capability Experience preparing client presentations, pitch books, and indicative pricing summaries in a sales environment Understanding of trade lifecycle processes and key control checkpoints across execution and post-trade workflows Experience coordinating across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations in a regulated environment
