This is a senior client-facing role combining business development, account growth and market development with the leadership of complex technology implementation programmes for banking clients. The successful candidate will work with senior banking executives to shape technology-enabled transformation initiatives and will lead multidisciplinary teams through mobilisation, design, implementation and transition into operation. You will be responsible for: Developing trusted relationships with senior banking and technology stakeholders Identifying client needs and converting them into propositions and opportunities Mobilising and directing major technology programmes Taking accountability for delivery quality, commercial performance and client outcomes The ideal candidate will have substantial consulting and/or banking-industry experience and a demonstrable record of delivering technology change within retail, commercial or business banking.
Key responsibilities
Business development and market growth Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across banking, including business, operations, technology, transformation, risk and procurement leaders. Develop a strong understanding of clients’ strategic priorities, technology estates, investment agendas and delivery challenges. Originate and shape new consulting and implementation opportunities within existing and prospective banking accounts. Lead and contribute to the development of client propositions, proposals, presentations, statements of work and commercial submissions. Develop market-facing perspectives on banking technology trends and use these insights to initiate relevant client conversations. Support the continued development of PwC’s Banking Technology propositions, credentials, delivery assets and go-to-market approach. Technology programme delivery and solution leadership Advise banking clients on the practical implications of technology strategy and transformation choices Lead the mobilisation, planning and execution of complex banking technology implementation programmes. Take accountability for engagement scope, delivery quality, financial performance, resourcing, risk and client satisfaction. Establish effective delivery governance, integrated plans, reporting, controls and decision-making structures. Lead multidisciplinary teams spanning programme management, business analysis, architecture, engineering, testing, data, operations, change and third-party delivery. Oversee solution design and ensure alignment between business outcomes, functional requirements, architecture and implementation decisions. Manage dependencies across banking products, channels, customer journeys, data, integration, security, operations and external suppliers. People and practice leadership Lead, coach and develop managers, consultants and specialists working across banking technology engagements. Create inclusive, high-performing teams with clear objectives, responsibilities and decision rights. Provide regular feedback, support career development and contribute to performance and promotion processes. Banking Technology experience Candidates should demonstrate strong experience in technology proposition development and/or implementation in a number of the following areas: Retail banking/ customer banking propositions Commercial, SME or corporate banking
