About this role
About this role : This role is within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) team of Wells Fargo India and supports the Corporate Debt Finance (CDF) department. The role involves working and supporting an industry leading structured finance department within a large investment bank. Specifically, this involves credit analysis/portfolio management support for a large department that lends money to financial institutions. The role also involves review of various client documents, undertaking financial review, credit analysis, writing different types of memos, compiling regular weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, trend analysis, covenant review, ratio calculations, etc. and will require working closely with front office team in the business. The role involves significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the business. In this role you will: Financial statement analysis covering various trends including key computing ratios for leveraged loans to calculate Borrower Quality Rating Understanding credit agreements of loans and summarizing key deal terms Analysis on loan portfolio financial performance and trends including reporting on troubled loans, losses and recoveries Reviewing monthly client reporting to check for completeness & accuracy of financial calculations including covenants Tracking & reporting on financial trends of the clients or facilities including financial spreading Preparing monthly and/or quarterly surveillance decks to report on the above as well as regulatory reporting Maintaining various databases and spreadsheets for internal/regulatory reporting Training & mentoring junior colleagues along with reviewing, checking & overseeing and undertaking workload planning Participating in wider initiatives including strategic priorities as laid down at enterprise/department level Required Qualifications: 2+ years of CIB Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. At least Postgraduate / or an equivalent professional qualification preferably MBA, CFA or CA, with up to 2+ years of experience In-depth understanding of financial statements & ability to understand business model and key risks of companies to correctly assess the credit worthiness Good Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint with good analytical skills Strong communication skills – both verbal and written. Ability to clearly & concisely speak on complex topics, as well as strong business writing skills High level of personal motivation, strong interpersonal skills and ability to learn quickly and effectively Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment and juggle a variety of tasks (time management skills are important) Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team as per role requirement Desired Qualification: Experience in credit analysis, corporate lending, portfolio management or structured finance (including mortgage securities, bond securitizations or Collateralized lending) Experience working in financial services such as at an offshoring firm, a captive of a foreign bank or Indian bank in a relevant capacity or a credit rating agency Advanced Microsoft Skills (Excel & PowerPoint) with understanding and experience with Macros/VBA/coding Posting End Date: 15 Sep 2026 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
