Salary: £24,500 37 hours per week // Flexible working hours // Hybrid working options available depending on the role // Half day Fridays!* // 25 days holiday plus bank holidays *subject to completing full hours prior to this About us: In this internship you will be working within the Project Management (AIT & Production) team on a range of Space products including; structures and panels, propulsion modules and complex mechanisms, these lower level sub assemblies will be form part of the Stevenage Mechanical Platform which will be integrated into Telecommunication spacecrafts. There may also be opportunities to work on some of the Earth Observation, Navigation and Science missions going through the manufacturing facility. Currently the team are working on the ramp up and complex industrialisation aspects of the new product “OneSat”. You will become an integrated member of the Spacecraft Production team focusing on the Stevenage Mechanical Platform, working within the Manufacturing Assembly Integration and Test (MAIT) Stevenage organisation for Airbus Defence and Space. As a Project Manager (AIT & Production) you will support the team to deliver the project or product on Quality, on Time, on Cost. The team is ultimately responsible for delivering completed spacecraft modules to a range of internal customers and stakeholders.
What you will be doing
During this placement the activities you may undertake include: Accountable for ensuring a schedule is issued & updated, and in line with the Multi-Functional Team’s (MFT’s) & Performance Management expectations, working with the department scheduler; Responsible for driving activities to ensure On Time delivery; Managing risks or issues that could impact any major milestone for final delivery; Accountable for cost management and reporting within the operational scope of the project; Reporting to and managing expectations of a range of internal stakeholders.
