About this role
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: People Business Partner for the Commercial Organization driving the People agenda across Continental Europe. Lead the design and execution of enterprise-aligned people strategies that support BNY’s strategic pillars, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and elevate the employee experience. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business priorities into practical people initiatives, workforce plans, and change strategies. Oversee the delivery of strategic People advisory services, ensuring high-quality support across talent, engagement, organization design, and leadership-related priorities. Drive programs and initiatives that improve employee engagement, team effectiveness, and overall organizational performance. Support the delivery of People Team solutions across core center-of-excellence designed processes, including Talent Acquisition, Talent and Development, Compensation & Mobility, Employee Relations, M&A, People Governance and strategic projects across the region. Manage work that includes, but is not limited to, more complex aspects of year-end compensation planning, annual talent review and succession planning, performance management across Continental Europe, and day-to-day activities such as onboarding, offboarding, and promotions. Lead, coach, and develop a team of People professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and strong execution. Build strong partnerships across the People Team and broader business to encourage innovation, consistency, and aligned delivery of people solutions. Champion a culture that reflects BNY’s principles, supports change readiness, and enables teams to perform at their best. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR-related certification preferred. Typically 12–15 years of experience in people strategy, human resources, or a related field, including meaningful leadership and strategic advisory experience. Strong strategic planning and consulting capability, with the ability to connect people priorities to business strategy and influence organizational outcomes. Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders and guiding complex people-related decisions and change initiatives. Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience developing high-performing teams and delivering through others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to use insights to drive sound decisions and continuous improvement. A collaborative, innovative, and client-focused approach, with sound judgment and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
