Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Highways Design Engineer with 4-8 years of experience in highway and roadway design projects. The candidate should possess strong expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and have experience in geometric design, corridor modeling, alignments, profile development, and preparation of design drawings for highway infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop highway and roadway designs in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements. Prepare horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, grading plans, and corridor models using Civil 3D . Produce detailed engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD . Perform geometric design of highways, expressways, urban roads, and intersections. Prepare plan, profile, and cross-section drawings for road projects. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including drainage, structures, utilities, and traffic engineers. Review survey data, terrain models, and LiDAR information for design development. Assist in preparation of design reports, quantity calculations, and tender documents. Ensure compliance with IRC, MoRTH, NHAI, and international design standards where applicable. Support project managers in meeting project schedules, quality requirements, and deliverables. Participate in design reviews and provide technical solutions for engineering challenges.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech in Transportation Engineering preferred) Experience working on national highways, expressways, urban roadways, or transportation infrastructure projects. Exposure to BIM workflows and digital engineering practices. Knowledge of MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, GIS, or other roadway design software. Experience in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
