THE ROLE

The AMD Client and Graphics Business Unit (CGE) is seeking a dynamic, energetic Power Management Systems Engineer to join our growing team focused on post silicon CPU/APU power management feature development solutions. This engineer will drive the feature enablement, validation, and debug of Windows Modern Standby (S0ix) system features on cutting edge mobile and desktop processors.   THE PERSON:    A highly technical systems engineer with deep understanding and experience with S0i3 system power management that spans silicon hardware, platform design, and firmware/software interactions to deliver AMD client processor S0i3 production solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead client S0i3 power management enablement and validation strategies from pre-silicon through customer adoption working across architecture, silicon design, firmware, validation, and debug teams. Drive S0i3 feature enablement and validation in post silicon lab environment. Drive debug and resolution of S0i3 system power management issues across silicon, firmware/BIOS, and debug teams. Develop and lead power management process improvement initiatives including technical test plan development, quality, and efficiency improvements. Coaches and mentors junior staff.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Strong expertise in Windows Modern Standby (S0i3) system operation. Considered a technical leader in SOC power management and has a proven track record for sustained innovation. Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy. Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
