Meet the team: The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting automated manufacturing equipment, manufacturing processes, and technology deployment activities to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant production operations. This position partners closely with Process and Equipment Engineers to support equipment installation, validation, troubleshooting, process sustainment, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role contributes to manufacturing scale-up activities, equipment and process performance optimization, technology implementation, audit readiness, and operational excellence objectives. Where you come in: Provide technical expertise in the engineering, design, installation, commissioning, and start-up of automation systems. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize production downtime and improve equipment reliability. Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for automated manufacturing systems. Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Identify and drive opportunities to improve equipment reliability, process capability, and overall manufacturing performance. Execute testing, verification, and validation activities for new equipment, automation systems, and manufacturing technologies. Develop and maintain equipment, control system, and validation documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, process transfers, and manufacturing expansion projects. Support continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven problem-solving methodologies. What makes you successful: Able to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics. Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components, including their functions and applications in industrial automation systems. Working knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting and diagnostics; experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is highly preferred. Working knowledge of HMI/SCADA experience is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with industrial robotic systems, including operation, troubleshooting and maintenance. Experience with machine vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) is an added advantage. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profinet, or Modbus. Knowledge of manufacturing automation, control systems, and equipment integration in a high-volume production environment. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. What you’ll get: A front row seat to
