About this role
Mid-market buyers don’t care about our products, they care about their problems. As Content Strategy Principal, you will own the end-to-end content strategy for Intuit’s mid-market audience, building a content engine that is mapped to the buyer journey and to the personas we sell to: their roles, their pain points, and the questions they’re actually asking at each stage, not our product taxonomy. This is a principal-level individual contributor role with broad influence. You will define the mid-market content architecture - what we say, to whom, at which journey stage, in what format - and drive its execution across campaign, field, web, and sales channels. You will be the connective tissue between audience insight and everything the mid-market marketing team ships.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end content strategy for the mid-market audience - a single, coherent architecture spanning awareness through decision, expansion, and advocacy. Build and maintain deep persona definitions for the mid-market buying committee (e.g., CFO, controller, heads of finance, operations, and HR), grounded in research, sales input, and customer conversations - anchored to their pain points, not our products. Map content to journey stage and persona, identify gaps, and drive a prioritized roadmap of content creation across formats and channels. Partner with demand generation, field marketing, and ABM teams so every campaign and event is fueled by the right content - and every content investment has a distribution plan. Set the mid-market narrative and messaging framework in partnership with product marketing, translating product capability into pain-point-led stories. Establish content performance measurement - engagement, influence on pipeline, and consumption by stage - and use it to continuously reshape the strategy. Build the content supply chain: briefs, standards, reuse and atomization models, and AI capabilities that allow the team to scale quality output. Serve as the mid-market audience’s editorial conscience - the person who ensures everything we publish sounds like it was written for the buyer, not for us.
Qualifications
10+ years in content strategy, content marketing, or integrated marketing for a B2B audience, with significant experience serving mid-market or enterprise buyers in SaaS or fintech. Demonstrated mastery of persona and journey-based content design - you’ve built content architectures around buyer pain points and jobs-to-be-done, not product feature lists. A portfolio that spans the full funnel: thought leadership, ungated and gated assets, web journeys, nurture content, event narratives, and sales enablement content. Strong analytical instincts - you use engagement, conversion, and pipeline data to find content gaps, kill what isn’t working, and double down on what is. Experience operating as a principal-level IC: setting strategy that other teams execute against, influencing without authority, and holding a high quality bar across many contributors. Exceptional editorial judgment and writing ability; you can elevate the work of agencies, freelancers, and internal creators. Familiarity with SEO/AEO, AI powered content operations, and CMS/martech workflows sufficient to build a scalable content supply chain.
