As a Program Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer here at Raytheon, you will be the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders of critical and technically advanced DOD Programs in the Naval Air Missile SSBU. This is an Onsite role in Tucson, AZ. What You Will Do : Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and supplier statement of works. Interpreting program requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements. Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers. Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies. Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes. Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews. Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews. The position primarily interfaces with the program team in the Tucson, AZ area in an onsite work schedule. Some travel can be expected as part of this role (Up to 25%). What You Will Learn : Managing complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, Energetic, etc.) Expand your APQP knowledge and experience Engage with critical external stakeholders i.e. DCMA.
Qualifications
You Must Have : Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline. Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
