Job Summary
The Engineering Technician Manager directs the operations of the technician department. They develop strategies, manage resources, and ensure that engineering projects are completed successfully.
Responsibilities
Supervision and Management • Oversee team of engineering technicians • Assign tasks and projects to team members • Provide coaching and training to team members • Conduct performance evaluations and handle disciplinary actions Project Management • Collaborate with engineers to plan and execute projects • Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met • Manage project budget and resources • Communicate project updates to stakeholders Quality Control • Develop and implement quality control procedures • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance • Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions • Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control processes Equipment and Inventory Management • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies • Coordinate repairs and maintenance for equipment • Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and functioning • Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases Safety and Compliance • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols • Conduct safety training for team members • Identify and address potential safety hazards • Maintain documentation and records for safety compliance Communication and Collaboration • Communicate with other departments and teams to coordinate projects • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues • Maintain open and effective communication with team members • Provide regular updates and reports to upper management.
