Software Engineer II - Github

The Azure Developer Division team at Microsoft India Development Center (IDC) is hiring talented engineers to help us build and ship managed Azure services working with our strategic ISV partners that will enable deploying and operating popular open-source and 3 rd party services in the Azure cloud. Responsibilities for this role include different aspects of designing and building features for an Azure service - such as prototyping, developing resource providers, authoring Azure portal extensions, building integration data plane, handling live site issues, driving security compliance etc. You will have opportunities to work across the stack to build new Azure services. We expect all engineers to write high-quality code and own the end-to-end test and DevOps lifecycle. Required:  BA/BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent field  4+ years of industry experience building and shipping software using modern programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, Go or Python  Strong software design, coding, and problem-solving skills  Customer obsession and passion for shipping high quality products  Self-driven, can work independently and capable of dealing with ambiguity  Excellent communication and collaboration skills  Preferred:  Experience working in a Linux environment and/or with Open-Source projects is a plus  Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS or GCP  Experience supporting live site services  Experience with Docker and DevOps tools and processes  Experience working with Resource provider, Azure portal, Azure Security and compliance of existing Azure services is a big plus  Other Requirements  Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
