Basic Job Functions:
The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for but not limited to providing support in all facets of maintenance operation; planning of work, implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, setup & adjust inventory levels based on operational needs. The Maintenance Planner’s ability to safely operate forklifts on a regular basis which requires a NYS certification to be maintain at all times while in this role. Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings is crucial in being successful as a Maintenance Planner. The Maintenance Planner must also be able to communicate effectively with maintenance/engineering, other departments, as well as being cost conscious and having the negotiating skills for the evaluation of supplies and services needed by NYS. Coordinate the procurement of replacement parts, tools services, and spare parts. Excellent organizational and planning skills and detail oriented will be necessary to coordinate, document and track the repairs, modifications, and replacement of equipment and/or parts removed from service. Assist supervision in planning and coordinating shutdown and scheduled downtime work activities. This position will be required to work overtime and holidays as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Requirements:
4 years’ experience working in sales or purchasing within the mechanical or electrical fields Experience with AS400, Oracle, & CMMS Detailed Selection Criteria:

Mechanical Knowledge Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and/or maintenance.
