Sr Accountant, Accounting The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial activities for the organization, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with internal controls, and timely completion of month-end close activities. This role will also support financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and internal and external audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Mexico intercompany activities, including cash wire transfer requests and intercompany maquila service transactions. Perform and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely account balances. Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reserves, amortizations, bank commissions, account reviews, and variance analysis versus Budget and Forecast. Perform revaluation of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts. Reconcile SAP books in MXN and USD and review non-workflow journal entries. Review and reconcile scrap sales invoices. Prepare and support P&L and Balance Sheet financial statements. Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation, providing requested information, and coordinating auditor requirements. Manage Mexico Travel Card, Concur, and P-Card processes. Participate in Budget and Forecast preparation. Provide financial support to different departments regarding expenses, account activity, and information required for financial decision-making. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial standards.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred. Public Accountant / Accounting degree preferred. Experience with month-end close, Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis. Experience supporting internal and/or external audits, preferred. Knowledge of internal controls and compliance. SAP skills. Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Intermediate English proficiency.
