About this role
Join a team committed to a mission! At Leidos, we deliver innovative solutions through the efforts of our diverse and talented people who are dedicated to our customers' success. We empower our teams, contribute to our communities, and operate sustainably. Everything we do is built on a commitment to do the right thing for our customers, our people, and our community. Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business. The Defense Sector at Leidos is seeking a Power Platform Principal (Part Time) to support the Sentinel Task Order and the Enterprise Operations Framework (EOF) Product Team on a part-time basis. EOF is a strategic enterprise capability that transforms existing Microsoft investments (Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Azure, and Dataverse) into a standardized, reusable operating framework for program execution across the company. This role works alongside the EOF Product Team's Power Platform Architect and developers to provide senior technical insight, collaborate on resolving competing design approaches, and advise on the correct execution of Power Platform capabilities across each Program Operations Environment (POE). This is a hands-on role, not a purely advisory role — the ideal candidate is comfortable working directly inside Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse to prototype solutions, validate proposed approaches, and work through complex technical issues personally, in addition to mentoring and guiding the broader development team. This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, [remote/hybrid/onsite — specify]. This position supports a secure government cloud environment; specific environment and clearance details will be discussed during the interview process.
Primary Responsibilities
This individual partners with the EOF Product Team's Power Platform Architect, developers, and the Cybersecurity/M365 Engineer to provide senior technical insight, hands-on problem-solving, and collaborative design guidance across the Enterprise Operations Framework. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the Power Platform Architect and developers to work through conflicting or competing design decisions across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse solutions — including building working prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions when needed to inform the discussion. Directly build or modify Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate flows, and Dataverse components to investigate and help resolve complex or ambiguous technical issues. Review proposed architectural approaches from Power Platform Developers and PMO citizen developers, and provide senior technical input to help ensure alignment with EOF standards and long-term reusability goals. Provide expert, hands-on guidance on correct implementation patterns for Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI to help prevent technical debt and rework. Evaluate proposed innovations from the federated development model, including direct technical testing where appropriate , and contribute recommendations on standardizing successful approaches into the core EOF component library. Advise on and help implement Power Platform governance practices, including environment strategy, DLP policies, managed environments, and ALM/pipeline practices. Partner with the Cybersecurity/M365 Engineer to validate that proposed implementation decisions align with security baselines and CUI handling requirements. Mentor Power Platform Developers and provide direct technical support, including pairing on complex builds when needed. Participate in design reviews and lessons-learned sessions alongside the Architect and Product Team, contributing senior-level insight to refine development standards. Support hands-on troubleshooting of complex technical issues that exceed developer-level scope, in close coordination with the Architect.
