Multi-Skilled Miner

Plant Operator: Starts, stops, and monitors equipment that processes rock, sand, and crushed rock using computerized or manual controls. Performs pre-shift inspections and maintains cleanliness of the plant.Transport Material: Drives truck and/or operates heavy equipment to transport and unload materials. Receives loading instructions and communicates with plant personnel and the public.Fixed Equipment Maintenance: Maintains stationary production machinery by diagnosing problems and performing mechanical and minor electrical repairs. Uses mobile equipment, hand and power tools, and cutting and welding equipment.General Plant Support: Maintains a material handling conveyor system by controlling product quality and inspecting the system for damage. Cleans spilled material from the conveyor system and surrounding areas.Travel to other facilities maybe required.
